Conspiracy behind Chiranjeevi's defeat in Tirupati :Online News

Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal described his party's defeat in Tirupati by-poll as a result of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu's ploy to defame actor-turned -politician Chiranjeevi. 

Lagadapati stated that Chandrababu has given tickets to the candidates of Chiru's community in three constituencies (Tirupati, Narsapur, Ramachandrapuram), where the people have special liking for Megastar. Due to this conspiracy, the Kapu community votes in Tirupathi were split between Congress (41,220) and TDP (30,453), eventually benefitting the YSR Congress (59,195). While Telugu Desam succeeded in Tirupati with its strategy, the 30 plus year old party has bitten the dust in both Narsapur and Ramachandrapuram.
Responding on the by-poll results, Lagadapati said that his prediction has come true. Stressing that YSR Congress benefitted with Jagan's arrest and Vijayamma's teary-eyed by-polls campaign, he reiterated that the same magic with not work again. He opined that If Jagan wasn't arrested before by-polls and YS Vijayamma hasn't gone for campaign, YSR Congress would have lost 9 seats (In the constituencies where YSRC won with less than 20,000 majority - 8 in Seemandhra & Parakala) altogether in by-polls. He said that TDP will be wiped out completely and the fight would be between Congress and YSR Congress in future.
