Who says Bollywood's bold and beautiful keep their friendships only for those who are rich and famous? That's not true at all, as Salman Khan once again proved the same by being human and reaching out to help beleaguered friend Nazim Rizvi, who gained notoriety post his film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, which was allegedly financed by underworld don Chhota Shakeel. Salman, by attending the music launch of Rizvi's film Qasam Se Qasam Se, fetched the filmmaker's debutant son Azim, all the media coverage he required.
Sometime ago, Dabangg Khan lent his Midas touch to Dream Girl Hema Malini's Tell Me O Khudda, to reportedly help relaunch the actress' daughter Esha Deol. "He approached me and said he was ready to help me as he is Esha's friend... I was so happy with his gesture," Hema said later. Her daughter, who has worked with Salman before, agreed with mum that "he is a great guy".
The actor's arch rival, Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan has his sentimental moments as well. SRK, too, offered to help Hemaji and her production Tell Me O Khudda and attended its music launch. Thereafter, during the promos of his own film Ra.One, Shah Rukh did not forget to credit Hema with some of his success in the film industry. "There were instances when I was wrong, but Hema Malini guided me... and when Allah Miya finally calls me, there will be one person who I will thank, and that will be Hemaji," he said.
Vidya Balan, who had quite a bumpy ride before the success of The Dirty Picture, might have faced some apprehension about the potential of Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani, given that his last film Aladin was a disaster, but when asked, the actress said, “Even I have done some movies which didn’t work, so if nobody would have come to me, then I wouldn’t have achieved what I did today.”
When it comes to friendship and helping a person in need, who can stand a better example than Amitabh Bachchan. Big B is known for his compassion even on a game show like KBC, so to help someone who has served him for more than 35 years, the superstar will never think twice. Mr. Bachchan will be seen with Jaya Bachchan in Deepak Sawant's Bhojpuri film Gangadevi. Wondering, who the man is? He is Big B’s make-up man and the superstar wanted to help him as he believes that it’s the least he can do for someone who took care of his face for more than 35 years.
When it comes to the mention of heavyweight celebs, Rajinikanth is no different. The actor, who set a new definition of sci-fi movies with Robot, blessed SRK in his ambitious project Ra.One. Rajinikanth was on a sabbatical and yet managed to take a day off from his break and shoot for King Khan. An overwhelmed SRK said on Twitter, “Ra.One completed today. Rajini sir blessed it. Have tears in my eyes of gratitude & only prayers & love for his whole family U complete us sir."
