Shane Warne, who has no immediate plans to wed his fiancee Elizabeth Hurley, has revealed that managing his fast-paced international life takes some juggling.
The 42-year-old former Australian cricketer also admitted that he gets a kick out of making his affection for the movie star so public, posting remarks on Twitter just to get a reaction.
I think it’s a great interaction to have with your fans,” the Herald Sun quoted him as saying.
I occasionally send out soppy tweets like ‘I really miss you Angel’ because I just want to see the response.
“People come back saying ‘harden up Warnie’ or ‘where’s the old Warnie gone?’ … all this sort of stuff. I find that really amusing,” he said/The sportsman also opened up on what has been a huge year for him as he returned to the crease with the Big Bash league, had a statue unveiled in his honour at the MCG and was just last week inducted into Australian Cricket’s Hall of Fame.
However, it’s his latest off-field project that is likely to turn heads. The spin king has put his name to soon-to-be-released ‘Hot Wheels’ toy car.
I get pitched a lot of things all the time (but) when Mattel came to me with the idea of designing my own car it was a pretty cool concept.
I have always loved cars. I’ve grown up with cars. To have a blank canvas, to design my own car with whatever I want was cool.
There was a lot of work and time and detail that has gone into it. I love the 23 across the engine,” he said.Warne said his latest commercial endeavour had topped a year of success at a time when he had never felt better.”I’m in a really good place.
Off the field in the business side of things everything is great.”My personal life is wonderful I am very happy. The most important thing is my three children and Elizabeth’s son Damien get along really well as a family so that’s great.
“It’s difficult at times to have two different continents, England and Australia, four childrens’ school schedules, Elizabeth’s work, my work — there is a lot of white board planners and schedules, … it’s a bit of a juggling act,” he added. ANI
