Everyone knows that Hansika adopts one child every year on her birthday and is very philanthropic. But the bubbly actress has another side that very few know.
She is a good painter and has been painting, since her school days, with acrylics on varied topics — from pictures of Gods such as Ganesha, Radhakrishna and Buddha to nature and love.
Apparently, the actress will soon hold an exhibition of her paintings and the money raised will be used for charitable purposes.
When the actress, who is currently in the city shooting for Vettai Mannan, was contacted Hansika said, “I’ve been painting since my school days. Some of my artwork was sent to UK for a competition and it won the first place.
Later, even when I got busy with films, I continued painting as it serves as my stress buster! Today, I have over 100 paintings in store and I am planning to organise an exhibition-cum-sale of these paintings.
The proceeds will be used towards the first step for building an old age home, which has been my longtime dream.” She adds, “Whenever I see old people on the streets or anywhere else, I feel sorry and wish I could take them home.”
