Kadhal Kandhas is a happy man these days! He has reasons to rejoice. The choreographer has been receiving praise from all quarters for his work in the song Oore Oore from the film Aravaan.
The young choreographer, who rose to fame after he did a song in Kadhal, considers praise from Oscar winner A.R. Rahman as the most special compliment.
Reportedly after watching the dance number Rahman was all praise for Kandhas. Rahman is reportedly to have said, “Choreography has been composed superbly for the Oore Oore number. Kandhas has handled it perfectly without going overboard. Otherwise it would have messed up the whole scene.”
Kandhas says, “It was the opening song and was a challenging one! It was shot on a large canvas with Adhi, Pasupathy, 500 dancers and a host of 1000 local people from a place near Madurai for more than eight days in the hot sun. I thank my director Vasanthabalan for placing trust in me and I am happy to be associated with him right from Veyyil.” The choreographer’s kitty is full with half-a-dozen films including Esaki, Suzhal, Vadham, Neer Paravai, Uyirai Tholaithen, Kaaviyam etc.
