Analysis:
Little romantic moments, light-hearted humour, emotions form the essence of the film. A clean love story that will make you fall in love over and over again. ‘London Paris New York’ is a film that you can watch even after 10 years and it will seem fresh.
Performances:
Ali Zafar is once talented actor. He looks his part, emotes well and is ofcourse, an entire package as he is the lyricist, singer and the music composer of the film. Though, the Pakistani influence to his baritone and accent is quite evident, he seems very versatile and makes you believe in him. Aditi Rao Hydari will finally get her dues. The lady is super talented and makes me wonder why wasn’t she the lead of Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ where she did a cameo. There is no much to do for the rest of the cast.
Technicalities:
Anu Menon hits bull’s eye with the debut directorial venture and the lady sure will go a long way. The background score is sees ups and downs. Ali Zafar’s music is soothing and romantic, as how it should be, just perfect. Though, at a few places the songs felt deterrent for the flow of the story but on second thoughts, what is a romantic movie without songs, on cherry on the cake, good songs. Cinematographer uses the exotic locales of London Paris and New York to his advantage.
Plus Points: Ali-Aditi’s chemistry, basic clean love story
Minus Points: Fluctuating background score, Ali’s fluctuating act
Final Word: Definitely a must watch for all lovers.
