Bittoo Boss encounter with the Censor Board is far from over.
After getting into a tussle for the teaser promo, the film is now facing issues to premiere its music video on television as well.
While producer Abhishek Pathak along with director Babul continue to fight their battle, they have now gone ahead and unleashed the ‘making’ video online.
In order to reach out to the youth, people behind Bittoo Boss too felt that shooting a video with Mika ‘live in action’ inside the studio would be a good way to announce the film’s arrival”, says a source from the production house, “This isn’t where they have stopped though.
To go with the spirit of the film, there is now a video being shot within a video, what with Pulkit Samrat, the lead hero of the film, capturing the proceedings with his handy-cam even as Mika is going all out rendering the risque lyrics.”
The song in question is ‘Bittoo Sab Ki Lega’ which features Mika in his own inimitable voice. This isn’t all as it features the entire principle cast and crew including the leading lady Amita Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Babul, composer Raghav Sachar as well as the chorus girls.
At the time of going to press, it was unclear whether the music video would be cleared for television viewing or would the viewer have to be content with YouTube viewing, just as was the case with the First Look promo (which was subsequently passed by Censor with a U/A certificate and no cuts).
“Well, we have toned down the lyrics which are by Luv Ranjan, who was the director and lyricist of our Pyaar Ka Punchnama. They are just a little naughty, not offensive.
Also if you look at the music video, it has a fun appeal to it and doesn’t have an ounce of vulgarity”, informs Abhishek, “Enough of this controversy now as we want the film to talk for itself. We hope everything settles down with Censors soon so that we don’t have to rely just on YouTube for the video to be seen.
Babul added, “The video shot with Mika has a fun tone to it and there is nothing outrageous in terms of lyrics, gestures or picturisation.
After this ‘studio promo’, we would also be shooting a promotional video with Pulkit Samrat who plays Bittoo. Hopefully all such plans would indeed come true before the film risks getting on the wrong side of Censors again.
