Once the disqualification job is done, AP's political parties are busy in selecting candidates they should field in the by-polls. More than anyone, Parakala constituency MLA, Konda Surekha is facing the heat!
Though the alliance between TRS party and Jagan's YSR Congress is unclear, it is heard that there is lot of understanding between them. However, the TRS today shocked Surekha saying that they will field candidate against her in the by-poll. 'She had resigned not for the cause of Telangana but for own reasons. She is no way considered as a fighter who can help the carving out of T-state from AP', TRS party members stated. 'She is going to bite dust in the by-election for her double standards against the cause of T-people', TRS stressed.
Conversely, Surekha defended her resignation saying, 'I had resigned the minister post for YSR's sake and MLA post for Telangana. If TRS is contesting in the election, then they have to face the ire of people who are in need of YSR's welfare schemes'.. Sources revealed that the elections are going to be held sometime in May and June, and the first phase by-polls in T-region in the coming weeks will decide the stance of parties for those 17 seats.
