The very mention of actress Shakila’s name would make one think of the scores of soft-sexy movies she has featured in. However, she seems to be keen to shed that image and do meaningful roles in films in the years to come.

The sultry actress who participated in a radio show on Thursday on the occasion of International Women’s Day said as
much during the course of the programme. She expressed her interest to do character roles like that of mother or ‘anni’ to the hero, so that the audiences will get to see her in a new light.

Sharing her thoughts Shakila said that she had got tired of playing roles that only titillated and made her a ‘sex symbol.’
