The Congress leaders has already started the lobbying for the pretigious Tirupati seat which would fell vacant following the nomination of Actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi to the Upper House.
While Chiranjeevi wants one of his family members to replace him in the Constituency, another Congress leader and minister Galla Aruna Kumari has asked the leadership to consider her Son as the candidate for Tirupati by-election.
When media asked whether she is lobbying for the Tirupati Assembly ticket, Galla shot back,"What's wrong if he (my son) aspires for party ticket? If a doctor's son can be a doctor and actor's son can be a actor, why can't a politician’s son become a politician?".
As the term of present Rajya Sabha members is going to an end on April 2, Chiranjeevi will be nominated to the Upper House first and later he would be inducted into the union cabinet. Most probably, the High Command would offer the ticket whoever Chiru suggests. Either Chiranjeevi's wife Surekha or his brother Nagababu might contest in the by-election on the Congress party ticket.
