Congress hits back at YS Vijayamma

The Congress leaders have raised serious objections to YSR Congress party honorary president YS Vijayamma's remarks against the government in the Assembly.

Responding to the YS Vijayamma's criticism that the present government failed to stop the CBI probe on Jagan's disproportionate assets case even though Congress ministers were part of the decisions taken by the YSR Government, Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy shot back,"Does she (YS Vijayamma) mean that government should stop the
probes conducted by CBI/ACB/CID? With these investigations, the truth will come to light and the culprits need to be punished. There were allegations against us (Congress ministers) that we were involved in the corruption during YSR regime. If these allegations were proven, we are ready to hang ourselves before the people".

"We had 30-35 years of association with YSR. Jagan himself has dragged YSR on to the roads. Your (YS Vijayamma) son is taking potshots at Congress government and Today you are questioning us why we failed to stop the CBI probe. How fair is it to say that? We are committed to take stern action against the people who are guilty based on the CBI
report," he added.
