Putting an end to the speculation that one of his family members would be chosen as Congress party candidate in Tirupati by-election, the erstwhile PRP Chief Chiranjeevi said that he or his kin has no such plans.
"I have been receiving a lot of congratulatory calls from Tirupati. I thank all my well wishers and the people of Tirupati who had chosen me as their MLA. I will give it my 100 percent to develop the Tiupati constituency. The Congress High Command would take a decision on the party candidate in the by-election. I can strongly say that none of my family members would contesting from here," said Chiru.
With the nomination of Chiranjeevi to the upper house, he has to resign as Tirupati MLA. The political experts had anticipated that there would be tough fight between Chiru and minister Galla Aruna Kumari (who is lobbying for the party ticket to her Son) for the Congress party ticket of Tirupati by-poll.
Surprisingly, Chiru himself has announced that his family is averse to contest Tirupati by-poll. So the chances are that it would be offered to Galla's Son Jayadev.
