Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Dsouza’s first release after their marriage ‘Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya’ has nothing new in it. A regular mindless comedy that needs you to forget all logics and watch it light-heartedly!
Story:
Mini (Genelia Dsouza) does not want to marry a groom that her father Bhatti (Tinnu Anand) has chosen for her. She sees and opportunity and elopes with Viren (Riteish Deshmukh) who already has a tiff with Bhatti, naming it as a kidnapping. As expected, the two fall in love, but Viren has his own issues and is reluctant to marry Mini. He belongs to a family of kidnappers. His dad Chaudhary (Om Puri) kidnaps for a living.
Now, Chaudhary kidnaps Mini and is demands ransom money from Bhatti. Also he likes the idea that Mini herself had planned her kidnapping and now is keen to have her as his daughter in law. To find out what happens next, watch the film.

Analysis:
A decent attempt by director Mandeep Kumar, ‘Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya’ has no novelty, but if you keep your brains home and watch it, it sure can make up for a good entertainer some good performances, and not-so-good clichéd but funny dialogues.
Performances:
Riteish and Genelia together put up a good show with Riteish underplaying his character and Genelia as her bubbly and lively self. The duo do well, given a weak script. Om Puri is hilarious and a treat to watch. Tinnu Anand is okay. Smita Jaykar, Navin Prabhakar and Chitrashi do a decent job. The rest of the supporting cast is okay too.
Technicalities:
As said earlier, humour is an illogical but at the same time the performances make it as the strength of the movie. The screenplay loses pace in the middle but catches up just before the climax. Mandeep Kumar’s direction is average and the film overall was a good attempt by him. The music by Sachin-Jigar is good though not very impressive. Veena Mallik in her item number is okay.
Plus Points:
- Riteish and Genelia
- Om Puri
Minus Points:
- Been there
- heard that kinda humour
Final Word: Keep your brains home and watch it.
