The King and the Commissioner written by Renji Panicker and directed by Shaji Kailas, is confirmed to release on March 23.
The film is slated to open in nearly 200 screens worldwide. It was earlier scheduled torelease for Christmas and then February middle.
The King and Commissioner has Mammootty and Suresh Gopi in lead roles and is asaid to be a sequel to The
King (1995) and Commissioner (1994).
However, director Shaji Kailas reportedly said that the film features a new story in a new background where the lead characters of his and Renji Panicker’s films (Joseph Alex IAS & BharathChandran IPS) are coming together.
The film has a strong supporting cast of Jagathy,Ganesh Kumar, Nedumudi Venu, Samvrutha Sunil, Sanjana, Salim Kumar and others. It is said to be an action packed thriller based on recent political events in Kerala.
