Vedika Kumar first film is Madrasi in this film she co-stared with well established actor, Arjun and this film did well at the box office after the success this film was dubbed into Telugu language film as Sivakasi.

After the success in Madrasi she got another chance to act in a Tamil film Muni in a lead heroine role in this film she co-stared with Lawrence Raghavendra Muni, Then she appeared in Kaalai opposite actor, Simbu alias Silambarasan.

Her latest movie movie Eriyum Thanal , of National award-winning director Bala’s next .Some scenes are being shot near Ramanathapuram along the coastal areas with the lead pair Atharva and Vedika.

It is common knowledge that Bala chooses fair heroines for his films and makes them look dusky either by applying dark make-up or gets them to tan them naturally.
