The war of words between Tamil Film Producers Council and FEFSI has reached a flash point over wage revision for the latter.
The the FEFSI has chosen to play it safe, stating that it would continue to cooperate and take part in shootings. The TFPC held an extraordinary general council meeting on Monday.
After the meeting, SA Chandrasekhar, the president of TFPC said, 'If FEFSI is not going to agree to our wages, we will have to
hire workers from outside. We do not have an agreement with FEFSI and we are free to employ whoever we want.'
FEFSI got into a huddle on Tuesday. At the end of the meeting, various resolutions were passed. Among others, they include, 'the TFPC has been spreading false information about FEFSI and they should take it back.
Even after five years, the salary for FEFSI workers remains the same. This issue should be given utmost priority'.
All eyes are now upon TFPC. What they will say?
