Sonakshi-Ranveer walk out of Salman’s territory:Cinejwala:

Just recently it was revealed that how the makers of Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Lootera’ were planning to release their film on the eve of Eid this year. The slot that has been dominated by Salman Khan since last three years was surprisingly booked for his protégé Sonakshi’s film. The news made heads turn as many thought that it was a daring step from Sonakshi who was geared up to clash with her mentor. As it has been announced that Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ was to arrive on Eid this year, it was shocking that
Sonakshi too was coming up with a film on the same date. Nevertheless, it seems that the makers of ‘Lootera’ realized that they were playing with fire and before time slipped from their hands, they decided to back out.

As they lost on the Eid slot the producers decided to book the next best available slot and have now announced to release their film on ‘Bakri Eid’ that falls on October 26 this year. Co-producer Vikas Bahl confirmed the release date, “Lootera is set to release on October 26, which is Bakra Eid. And looks like an extremely good day to release the film” confessed producer Vikas Bahl.
