Salman’s financial aid for hostages:Cinejwala:

Salman Khan is one superstar with a golden heart and there are no two opinions over it. He has been known for his charitable activities which often hog more headlines than his blockbuster films and alleged affairs. Time and again he has donated huge chunk of his earnings towards the welfare of children as well as needy and this time it is no different. The actor has decided to gift freedom to few of those unfortunate convicts who are spending their lives in jail just because they do not have enough money to pay as fine.

It is because the prisoners are not only sentenced to spend a long term in jail but also pay a fine which often the poor fails to do and end up spending additional term in jail. There are as many as 400 such prisoners in 63 jails in Uttar Pradesh and it is Salman Khan’s charity foundation ‘Being Human’ which will be donating Rs. 40 lakh for their release. The organization would pay the fine on their behalf and they have already sent the proposal to the Jail authorities and are seeking their no objection certificate from the administration.
