The box office success is not a silk route but the route a few of the Kannada heroines picked on Friday evening was very soft. That was the catwalk with silk sarees at the Silk Mark Expo-2011 exhibition curtain raiser.

The government of India textile ministry silk mark organization of India is organizing the silk Mark Expo from December 14 to 19.

The beautiful heroines Nanditha, Nivedhitha, Tejaswini, Roopasri, Radhika Gandhi, Dhuniya Rashmi, Tina and a few others decked in the traditional pure silk saree thrilled the occasion. All the actress walked on the ramp. Rupam Silk organized the event.

This was prelude to silk Saree Expo-2011 that is expected to make Rs.5 crores business in five days.  114 stalls showcasing authentic silk products including saris, yardage ready-to-wear garments and accessories will come up at Tripuravasini in Palace Grounds. Apart from saris and dress materials, furnishings, handcrafted silk products such as purses, umbrellas and wall hangings will also be on sale, he added.
