Farah Khan excited for ‘New Year’:Cinejwala:

It is said that the idea of making the larger than life film ‘Happy New Year’ was conceived by Farah Khan even before she marked her debut as a director in the film ‘Main Hoon Na’. But things never materialized for the dream project.

But now the film will soon see the light of the day as Farah has finally completed the script and intends to take it on floor in mid 2012. But err, there’s a major issue that might hinder the smooth process of the film yet again.

The film’s title and idea was then registered with Farah’s the then best friend Shah Rukh Khan’s production house. Now, things have changed between them as they are no longer
on the same lines as before. Regardless of the changed equation, Farah Khan will soon approach SRK in order to buy the rights of the film as she intends to produce it under her banner that was launched in recent past. The film was earlier supposed to have SRK in lead but Farah still hasn’t confirmed the cast yet.
