‘Dirty’ Vidya booked for being ‘Silk’:Cinejwala:

There are no two opinions on the fact that Vidya Balan’s last release ‘The Dirty Picture’ has been a super success. The film based on the real life of ‘Silk Smitha’ was highly acclaimed by the critics and the fans. Howsoever the lead actress Vidya has been recently dragged into a legal tangle as she has been slammed with a legal case for the very reason that made her film a huge hit.

A criminal case against Vidya Balan was recently registered with Nallakunta police. This act was a follow up procedure that was directed by a local court of the same place. An advocate as a petitioner has complained that
outrageous posters of Vidya Balan and her film ‘The Dirty Picture' have bee a cause of embarrassment for women in Nallakunta. The petition even stated that people driving on lanes get distracted due to such vulgar posters which further results in accidents. After the petition was filed the court immediately directed the police which then registered a case under Sections 292 (sale, etc. of obscene books, posters) and 294 (obscene acts, songs) of IPC. We wonder how would the ‘oh la la’ babe react to this piece of news.
