‘Chikni Chameli’ an adaptation of Marathi song:Cinejwala:

Katrina’s latest publicity driver item song, ‘Chikni Chameli’ from the upcoming movie, ‘Agneepath’, reportedly is an adaptation of a Marathi song, ‘Kombadi palali’ form the Marathi movie, ‘Jatra’. The Marathi film music composers Ajay-Atul have been thrilled after hearing the latest Hindi adaptation of their original song. They duo revealed that this song proves that Bollywood notices us and likes our music.

The music-composers are also happy that not many changes have been made in the
Hindi song, except few words. The duo also appreciated singer Shreya Goshal who crooned the song very well. Music composers Ajay-Atul are very much popular in the Marathi Film Industry. Ajay Devgan starrer, ‘Singham’ marked their debut as music composers in Bollywood. The duo gave hit tracks such as ‘Saathiya’, ‘Maula Maula’ and the title track of the film.
