Prof Baraguru Ramachandrappa’s ‘Bhagirathi’ based on the ancient folk tale ‘Kerege Hara’ produced by BK Srinivas in Sri Harsha Productions has joined the big league.
For two developments producer BK Srinivas is brimming with happiness. First one is that the film ‘Bagirathi’ has been selected for the International Film Festival, Goa – Premier section with another Marathi film and secondly producer BK Srinivas has made arrangements for the audio release of ‘Bagirathi’ on 20th of this month at ‘Shikshakara Bhavana’ opposite Cauvery Bhavan.
On the audio release day in the morning BK Srinivas and his team of Sri Harsha Productions is honoring doyen of folk in Karnataka Jnanapeeth award winner Dr Chandrasekhara Kambara that also coincide with the folk cinema. Five songs of the film ‘Bagirathi’ will be sung live by the actual singers who have rendered for the film audio says Srinivas.
The Entertainment Society of Goa that selected Kannada film for the premier at IFFI from November 23 to December 3 has also selected Marathi film `Bharat Mazza Desh Aahe' will feature in the Indian Premier Section `Bharat Mazza Desh Aahe' is directed by Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukthankar. Bharat Mazza Desh Aahe (India is my country), starring veteran Vikram Gokhale and Uttara Bavkar, is a story of a joint family.
