Efficient director Seshagiri Yelawal is at last caught up with a mega opening for his first animation film in Kannada ‘Chintu Skool’.
The film ‘Chintu Skool’ certified by regional censor board as ‘Children flick’ and government of Karnataka has given 100 percent tax exemption (in a separate category) for screening of the film for public. Even in the new Film Policy of Karnataka State there is no provision for animation films. It is by running around the bureaucrats I had to get 100 percent tax exemption certificate mentioned Yeliwal.
The first animation film in Kannada, second on South India and third in the country ‘Chintu Skool’ will be screened for 3000 children at Suttur Math JSS auditorium in Mysore. Sri Deshikendrra Swamiji of Sutthur Math, Rajya Sabha Member B Jayasri, and Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Chairman TS Nagabharana are the chief guests on this occasion.
Making the film and marketing the film are very essential aspects. Yalamali has given memorandum to the government of Karnataka to announce new awards to the animation type of films.
The four songs in the album of ‘Chintu Skool’ rendered by Aditi, Meghana and Subramanya are penned by Manohar, Vyasa Rao and JM Prahallad.
The first animation film made in Kannada by Seshagiri Yaliwal ‘Chintu School’ was selected for the 3rd CMS International Children Film Festival held on 5th April to 11th April 2011 at Lucknow. ‘Chintu Skool’ has been selected for the feature film animation category and committee has recommended it for the inclusion in the World Cinema Section category. That is also eligible for the audience award.
For this year children day November 14 the film ‘CS’ will be screened at annual Children Film Society festival at Hyderabad.
The screening for the public will be at Ishwari, Uma, srinivas theatres on November 15. After the premier show at JSS auditorium Seshagiri is planning another screening at Azim Premji School. Direct contact to schools will be made and it is 50 percent off for the students.
He agrees that Guruprasad got the first certificate for his ‘Idhu Bombeyatavayya’ animation film but screening first will be ‘Chintu Skool’. At the national and international there is a provision for animation film but it is not there in the state level.
Guruprasad ‘Idhu Bombeyatavaiah’ is expected to go on air at ‘Suvarana’ television channel. It is for November 14 Children’s day this magic from Guruprasad is slated for release.
