Surya who usually shares great chemistry on-screen with his co-stars had admitted that he regrets acting with Shruthi Hassan. Shruthi Hassan the elder daughter of Kamal Hassan who was introduced through AR Murugadoss in 7am Arivu was not the right choice it seems.

Surya who had good chemistry with Jothika, Tamanna, Asin, Anushka in his previous films couldn’t manage well with Shruthi Hassan in 7am Arivu, because she bore the image of Kamal’s daughter.

Surya who have good respect towards Kamal Hassan made him to stay at a distance with Shruthi, which is the main reason for the dull chemistry in 7am Arivu. Even his fans think that if Asin would have played the role of Shruthi Hassan, it would have clicked well. So Surya made it clear that the combo won't repeat again in the future.
