Perhaps no one from the Kannada film industry has taken a walk in barefoot to Mantrayala the hall of fame for Brindavana of Sri Raghavendra Swamiji.
The credit for taking a walk to Mantralaya from Bengaluru crossing 400 kilometers plus goes to Srinivasamurthy the 60 plus actor of Kannada cinema.
For three reasons Srinivasamurthy has taken up this travel by walk in which two are well known – the success of Bhaktha Ambarisha play at Udupi and Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bengaluru, second reason is his name cleared in the court case that bothered over two decades. The third reason is he played Sri Ragavendra Swamy grandfather Thimma Bhatta role in ‘Guru Raghavendra Vaibhava’ he decided to go to Mantrayala by walk.
Srinivasamurthy started early morning of 19th of October 2011 and it takes minimum of 10 days. Srinivasamurthy is covering a distance of 400 plus kilometers from Bengaluru to Mantrayala by walk without even wearing chappals. He is covering 40 kilometers a day.
Hebbal, GKVK, Yelahanka, Devanahalli, Chickballapur, Bagepalli, Penagonda, Ananthapura, Dutti, Adhoni and Mantralaya is the route of Srinivasamurthy and Dhanshekhar a well known astrologer.
Srinivasamurthy is with one bag that contains four pairs of dhothi, daily essentials. Every night he will rest at one point and start early in the morning.
