Ra.One scores high on Day.One :CineJwala:

Bollywood’s most expensive film and Shah Rukh Khan’s dream film ‘Ra.One’ recently released amidst much fun and flare on the festive occasion of Diwali. The festivals of lights s people’s life and Shahrukh Khan is no different. As expected the film opened to a humongous response from people and it is not just a random observations but a proven fact. It was touted that the film will embark Salman Khan Starrer ‘Bodyguard’s opening record of earning Rs. 22 crore on its first day. However citing the fact that the film released on the auspicious ‘Laxmi Pujan’ day, it didn’t cross that figure, nevertheless scored an astronomical Rs.18 crore at the home box office on the opening day. However in the overseas market, the Red Chillies Entertainment and Eros International co-production raked in Rs.6.5 crore.

The film got mixed reviews from critics; while some praised its plunge on technical grounds some lashed it for poor script and story. However facts remain steady as maximum numbers of people did enjoy the sci-fi-meets-superhero film and trade experts predict continuation of a good business for the film ‘Ra.One’ throughout the extended weekend.
