100th film is an achievement in professional career. That achievement adds another feather in the cap of humble hat trick hero Shivarajakumar as his ‘Jogaiah’ is releasing on this Friday 19th August in over 200 theatres in Karnataka.
It looks like a festival in Bengaluru, Kolar and Tumkur. The tickets for ‘Jogaiah’ have been already sold out for three days in a week advance. The audience get an audio CD, T Shirt and a hat per ticket and there is a hike in the ticket price in the three important pockets Bangalore Kolar and Tumkur.
15 lakhs CDs of Jogaiah will be distributed in a span of one week says distributor BK Srinivas who has got the BKT rights. 50000 T shirts and hats bearing Jogaiah imprint are distributed.
In the garden city Bengaluru that is soaked in rain from last three days 70 theatres will be showing ‘Jogaiah’. An average of 4 shows means 280 shows a day and the craze where the 3D technology is more. The song and action in this film has the 3D technology and audience is given specially designed spectacles to view it.
According to one estimate 1000 shows a day from 250 cinema halls is the estimate of producer cum director Prem. On an average 500 persons per show means five lakh people will be watching ‘Jogaiah’ per day. Considering an average of Rs.25 as ticket price – per day collection at these calculations will be one crore and twenty five lakhs.
‘Jogaiah’ the magnum opus of Shivarajakumar career billed as the 100th film is expected to create a new wave in the action film category. This film is shot in 100 days in Bengaluru, Mysore, Srirangapatna, Hrishikesh and other places.
The reason for highest hype is the songs that are talk of the town for ‘Jogaiah’. V Harikrishna magic has continued in this film too and audio sale has been all time high for Ashwini Recording Company.
For the first time in the history on KG Road two theatres are showing ‘Jogaiah’ – Santosh at KG Road and two furlongs away Kapali theatre on Subedar Chantram road is showing Jogaiah with 60 plus theatre in Bengaluru – that is once again a record.
Nandakumar is the cameraman of this film ‘Jogaiah’. A song and action scene in ‘3D’ technology is the special attraction of the film. Nagesh is the choreographer, Mass Madha has done the stunts, Mohan B Kere is art director, Srinivas P Babu is the editor.
Sumit Kaur Atwal is the counterpart to Shivarajakumar. Pooja Gandhi, Chittara Editor B Ganapathi, Ravishanker, Ravindranath, Pakkanna, Anand, Gopal, Praveen, Joshi, Gururaj Hoskote, Umesh Punga, Suresh Mangalore, Dashavara Chandru are in the cast.
