CI turned Hacker for CBI JD Lakshminarayana's Call List, Details

It's already known that Nacharam CI Srinivasa Rao was suspended from duty after the role played by him in obtaining the call list data of CBI JD Lakshminarayana came to light.

Based on the complaint lodged by the CBI JD, the CID police have been grilling the CI from the past two days. During the interrogation, the CI confessed that he hacked the E-mail Account of DCP and acquired the password of his senior official and later sent a request to the service provider for the call list data.

Only the SP or DCP range officer has the power to request the call list from the service provider. But CI Srinivasa Rao misused his powers to obtain JD Lakshminarayana and Lead India organizer Chandrabala's call list.

Cases were booked against CI, Sakshi Reporter and BSNL Service Provider under sections 120B, 166, 499, 500 and 509 of the IPC; 66 and 72 of the IT Act and the Official Secrets Act and 24, 25, 29 of the Indian Telegraph Act.
