Girls outperformed boys in the second year intermediate advanced supplementary examinations conducted in May this year.
Releasing the results, Higher Education Department principal secretary Rajeshwar Tiwari said that 70.09 percent of girls and 62.69 percent of boys have cleared the supplementary examinations in the general category. Of 5,46,955 candidates who appeared in the general category, 3,60,040 candidates have qualified in the examinations with a total pass percentage of 65.83. In the vocational courses, he said that 11,140 candidates passed out of 27,436 aspirants.
Rajeshwar Tiwari said that cases were booked against 302 candidates for their involvement in various malpractices during examinations and the results of 187 candidates have been withheld. He said that Principals of colleges have been asked to collect Memoranda of marks from Regional inspection officers on June 21. He said that the candidates have been allowed to avail re-counting and re-verification facility from June 17 to June 21.
The candidates have to pay Rs 100 for re-counting per paper and Rs 600 per paper for re-verification. INN
