Lakshmi Rai was recently in the news for all the wrong reasons. It seems that the actress created a ruckus over a hotel room in London, where she is presently shooting for Thaandavam.
Lakshmi spoke to DC, clarifying her stand. The buzz was that she started throwing starry tantrums at the hotel where she was put up, saying that she was not happy with the room given to her.
“There was a small problem when I landed in London —- the room that was allocated to me had been given to someone else.
In fact, I had to wait for 45 minutes in the lobby for an alternate room. Where is the question of me throwing a fit of peevishness here?” she asks.
On the professional front, the glam girl, who has shifted bag and baggage to Mumbai, says, “I want to do more Tamil and Telugu films.
Post my Telugu film Adhinayakudu with Balakrishna, I have been getting a lot of offers in T’town. I am also listening to a few scripts in Tamil.
One of them is a big banner andfeatures a big actor. If all goes well, I will make an announcement at the appropriate time.”
Sources also reveal that Lakshmi is being considered for Priyadarshan’s Hindi remake of his Malayalam film The Arab, The Camel and P. Madhavan Nair opposite Akshay Kumar. Lakshmi has acted opposite Mohan Lal in the Malayalam version.
