Piracy has always been a serious offense in Bollywood and there have been many instances, when the makers had to pay the price to induce old songs in their films. Agent Vinod’s makers have now paid the price for using old songs without seeking permission from the producers of those movies.
According to sources, Saif Ali Khan and his co-producers were to shell out a hefty amount for using songs like Rakamma from Thalapathi, Aasmaan Pe Hai from Phir Subah Hogi and Meri Jaan Maine Kaha from The Train, but seems that money was not paid. Even the credit for the songs was not given to their producers, which hurt the sentiments of many.
The producers of Agent Vinod have finally paid the price and now, the issue has been sorted out, but the disappointment for not giving the credit seems to be still lingering along for many.
With the trouble that Saif had to undergo throughout Agent Vinod, we really wonder if a supposed sequel would even be a good idea!
