Ganesh Venkatraman who is eagerly awaiting his next — Panithuli, met Ajith recently at Mumbai where the shooting of Billa 2 is going on in full swing.
Says a thrilled Ganesh who spent almost five hours with Thala, “I happened to meet Ajith at Film City. We spoke about a lot of things. I respect Ajith a lot. He too had no film background and made it on his own by sheer hard work and talent. My case is similar too. I always look up to people I admire for sound advice. Ajith shared his experiences from the time he had entered the film industry. He advised me on how to select the right scripts, how to make the best of opportunities that come my way and he told me that ultimately — ‘Ganesh, do what makes you happy. That’s what I did and it has taken me where to I am today’.”
Heaping praises on Ajith, Ganesh says, “He is such a wonderful human being. I remember distinctly how I met him for the first time. After Abhiyum Naanum released, I had gone for a party where several top actors and directors were there. As I was standing in one corner, someone patted me on the shoulder and when I turned, it was none other than Ajith! With his characteristic smile he said ‘Welcome to the film industry’ and gave me a warm hug. I can never forget that moment. It means a lot to me!”
