Producer Thanu got Urumi tamil Film rights!

Kalpathi S Thanu, who is waiting to screen Vijay and Kajal Agarwal starrer Thuppakki directed by AR Murugadoss, is all set to release his Malayalam flick Urumi in Tamil.

The world rights of Santhosh Sivan's ambitious film Urumi, featuring a stellar cast of Prithviraj, Genelia, Arya, Tabu, Prabhu Deva, and Vidya Balan has been bagged by Kalaipuli S Thanu.

This multi-starrer movie was helmed by Santosh Sivan, which will hit the screens of Tamil Nadu soon and the makers are planning to release this high budgeting film before they theater Vijay’s Thuppakki.
The producer feels that Urumi can hold its own among the best of World cinema and wants to promote it across the globe and make sure that it gets the recognition it deserves.

The movie has music by Deepak Dev, Editing by A. Sreekar Prasad, which will showcase the top notch stars in a never seen before way. Urumi is the period flick that is set in the backdrop of the fierce warrior of northern Kerala on the Malabar Coast, India in the sixteenth century.
