The Economic Survey 2011-12 has brought some interesting facts about working age group in the world into the limelight.
According to the survey, India is all set to become one of the youngest nations in the world by 2020. The proportion of working age population (15-59 years) in India is going to be over 64 percent by 2021, which is around 6 percent rise from the figures in 2001. The average Indian will be only 29 years old in 2020, which could be the key for the progress of the nation. India will be having more resources, especially youth, to turn into super power.
On the other hand, the average China and US citizens will be 37 years old in 2020. While for Europe it is 45 and for Jagan it is 48.
Around 63.5 million new entrants from all over the world will enter the working age group between 2011 and 2016. Most of them are between the age group of 20-35 years.
