Yuvraj Singh, who was undergoing treatment for rare germ cell cancer in US, finally finished his last round of chemotherapy on Sunday.
The star Indian cricketer wrote on Twitter, “3rd chemo cycles over, back from hospital n I am free. Road to recovery starts now. Can't wait to be back home.”
He added that,"Thank you 4 all ur love n wishes from the bottom of my heart I'm sure they have worked well with the doctors therapy."
Earlier he had tweeted that “My last stretch. 4 more days to go. Can’t wait for it to end. Set me free dear lord” on Tuesday, along with a picture of himself sporting a head bandage and flashing a thumbs up sign at the camera.
Yuvraj has been active on the Twitter throughout his treatment. The 30-year-old left-hander has been in US since January. He is expected to be back on the field in the first week of May.
