Gali Gali Chor Hai 2012 Hindi Movie Review
Story:
The film is about a bank cashier Bharat (Akshaye Khanna) who is approached by politicians who want to set up their offices in his home. And when he refuses to hand it over to them then starts his grueling journey against corruption.
Analysis:
In an era where the common man is already troubled with the haunting corruption prevailing in the Indian society, a film based on the very issue could have easily cashed on the opportunity. But alas it falls flat on expectations. The film starred talented star cast in the name of Akshaye Khanna, Veterans like Satish Kaushik and Annu Kapoor. It also had talented actresses like Shriya Saran and Mugdha Godse but alas none of them is able to save it from falling.
The film had an interesting plot to build the film on it but unfortunately it turned out to be an ordinary tale.
Performances:
However performances by the whole cast is at par expectations. They perform fair but poor script couldn’t do justice to their talent. Pakistani actress Veena Malik’s sizzling item may attract a few onlookers.
Technicalities:
Director Rumi Jaffery fails to make its exceptional as twists and turns in the story are oh-so expected which makes the film boring. The hit and sweet compatibility shown between the father (Satish Kaushik) and his son Bharat (Akshaye) is enjoyable. Also the title track of the film is proves to be a saving grace of the film.
The film though doesn’t fail at the story level but the poor screenplay and age old tactics make it poor cinematic experiences.
