Actor Karibasavaiah Dead:Cinejwala:

Richly talented Kannada cinema actor in comedy roles and in supporting roles Karibasavaiah died today afternoon at Pristine Hospital in Bengaluru after a road accident. Last Monday he was on his way to his house from Kanakapura Road his vehicle was hit badly for a huge pothole.

The accident that took place on January 31 early morning brought the actor to the hospital for treatment. He was declared dead today afternoon as the operations did not succeed.

Karibasavaiah made debut from Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar film ‘Undu Hodha Kondu Hodha’ and acted in over 100 films. He was a well known Harikatha Vidwan. He worked for a few years as lab assistant in Seshadripuram College. Yaarge Saluthe Sambala, Thaayi, Police Story 2, Janapada, Magic Ajji, Right Adhre, Durgi, Galate Aliyandru, Ulta Pulta, Parichaya, Crazy Kutumba, Holi, Nooru Janmaku, Aithalakkadi, Ullasa Utsaha, Sri Moksha, 5 Idiots and several others given him a good standing in the Kannada cinema industry as a character artist.


Director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar came forward to support the medical bills via his association Abhivyakthi Samskrithika Vedike.

Karibasavaiah was in distress since 2009 when his married daughter Radha committed suicide. A stage actor, television and cinema actor Karibasavaiah is known for natural performance.

The first death for Kannada filmdom has happened from the demise of Karibasavaiah.
