From playing a single mother in ‘Paa’ to getting into the skin of a sex siren ‘Silk Smitha’, Vidya Balan has managed to stun her fans with each of her performance in all her films. She has always taken the unconventional route to enthrall the audience with each of her roles that vary distinctively from each other. When quizzed about her knack to pick up different roles, she says that she has this never dying greed for good roles that keeps her on the move. “I am a very greedy actor. I want to play different people I want to do different kinds of films. Even if it means that the hero is the protagonist, as long as I have enough to do in the film I am more than happy doing it” said Vidya.

She even exclaimed that she as an actress and an audience is extremely happy with the kind of cinema produced by the nation. “I am very happy with the kind of films being made today and that I am getting a chance to work in them. They are appealing to the audience as well, which is most important. Women-oriented films are being made since years but it is only today that they are tasting success” stated Vidya who has been on cloud nine with two woman oriented successful films like ‘No One Killed Jessica’ and ‘The Dirty Picture’.
