The Karnataka film Chamber of Commerce has announced that the ‘Screening Committee’ would start functioning again with effective policies from 2nd March 2012.
The screening committee was in existence sometime ago but it was shelved. In a meeting recently of the executive council the KFCC has decided to restart the ‘Screening Committee’ in the interest of Kannada film producers and Kannada film releases.
The rehashed Screening Committee would look in to the release aspect of Kannada films on the basis of censor and Entertainment Tax exemption certificates. The first come first serve will be kept in mind.
Honorary Secretary of the KFCC Sa Ra Govindu appealed to the producers with Kannada films to follow the procedure of KFCC.
