What is common between Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu? Well, 'nothing' - one may say. Except for the ugly spat that they had indulged in a decade ago during the making of 'Ajnabee' where they had shared screen space, there isn't much connection that can be drawn between the two women. However there would be one soon, what with Bipasha enjoying a song dedicated entirely to her.
"Yes, there is a song in her forthcoming film 'Jodi Breakers' that is simply titled 'Bipasha'. Now this could well be a way to announce that she is pretty much in demand, what with Kareena being the only other heroine with a song based on her name. Remember 'Bebo Main Bebo' which was written for her in Akshay Kumar starrer 'Kambakkth Ishq'," reminds an industry insider.
Just like Kareena's 'Bebo', even Bipasha's 'Bipasha' has a tone of seduction to it and though one may well term it as a 'ego massage', the fact remains that the song has ensured instant recollection value for the leading lady and her film.
"While Bebo is Kareena's nickname and could still be termed situational for that film, a song titled 'Bipasha' is as blatant as it gets. To the credit of the team though, the song has turned out beautifully and has a potential to become big amongst the club hopping youth. It is basically styled as a 'Middle East-meets-West' composition and the video would be out very soon. Expectedly, Bipasha is looking million bucks and the song's picturisation is quite eye catchy as well," our source adds.
Composed by Salim-Sulaiman, the song has Shradha Pandit as Bipasha's voice. Also, lyricist Shabbir Ahmad could well be paying homage to Bipasha, what with lyrics going as 'Aaja Main Sikhadoon Tujhe Pyaar Ki Bhaasha, Rab Ne Hai Fursat Mein Taraasha; Baithe Hai Jaal Bichaye, Phas Jaaye Na Bipasha'.
