There is a saying that son is on the footsteps of father daughter in the footsteps of mother – the proverb in Kannada is ‘Nulinanthe Seere…Thayiyanthe Magalu’ (like the thread the Saree and like the mother like the daughter).
The reason to remember this is actor Sharat Lohitashva. The voice box of this gigantic actor is a gift of his learned father also an actor on stage, cinema and television Lohitashva.
Like how Mysore Ananthaswamy voice was similar in his son Raju Ananthaswamy, similar way Lohitashva voice is similar in his son Sharat who has completed 100 films in Kannada cinema from soon to release ‘Sadagara’.
There is a happy moment for this over six feet tall actor Sharat Lohitashva at the time of completion of 100 films. He has recorded his voice for ‘Radio Ravan’ in 104 FM radio channel. Similar program in Hindi was on air with Naseeruddin Shah. For the rich voice of this actor the scale of popularity is slightly higher than Naseeruddin Shah it is learnt.
Beginning from ‘Ghalige’ of MS Sathyu and from ‘Huliya’ commercial film Sharat got noticed very quickly for his fireball like eyes stunning voice and of course for good performance.
Sharat Lohitashva has every reason to smile in the journey of his 100 films. He has got many solid films in his career so far. This year in 2012 he has 12 films set for release. Meanwhile ‘Sadagara’ by new team is his 100th film. A villain role turns to comedy in this film. In ‘Sthri Shakthi’ Sharat plays the women hater.
