Film critic Nikhat Kazmi who used to write for a leading newspaper passed away today morning battling Breast cancer. She was 53 and started her career as a film critic in the year 1987. Her critical acclamations were taken undoubtedly by B-town’s celebs. Her last movie reviews of ‘Ghost’, ‘Sadda Adda’, ‘Chaalis Chaurasi’ and Hollywood flick ‘Blitz’ were just published one week ago. B-town celebs have expressed their grief towards the Nikhat through micro blogging site, Twitter.
‘Was truly shocked to hear about the untimely death of Nikhat Kazmi...the TOI critic of several years...prayers and thoughts with her family,’ tweeted Karan Johar. Bipasha Basu tweeted ‘Life is so unpredictable. RIP Nikhat Kazmi’. ‘The country lost one of the finest film critics today. RIP Nikhat Kazmi, may god give strength to your loved ones,’ posted Madhur Bhandarkar. ‘Tragic news. Extremely sad to know about the demise of Nikhat Kazmi, one of the most persistent film critics,’ wrote Akshay Kumar on his twitter page.
