Book on SRP Released:Cinejwala:

The doyen of Kannada cinema direction late S.R.Puttanna Kanagal is remembered with five films at this 4th Bengaluru International Film Festival. On Sunday evening at Sulochana hall of Vartha Bhavana a book in English on the towering director of yesteryears written in English my MK Raghavendra and HN Narahari Rao was released by Principal Secretary of Kannada and culture department Basavaraju.

Before the screening of the film ‘Nagarahavu’ of SR Puttanna Kanagal direction the book was released. Deputy Mayor Harish felt happy for the festival of films in Bengaluru and lauded the government of
Karnataka. Like how every film of SR Puttanna Kanagal was filled with message such films should come in Kannada he felt.

15 of the 25 films of SR Puttanna Kanagal are analyzed in the book disclosed Narahari Rao. Actress Padma Vasanthi who was introduced by SR Puttanna Kanagal in ‘Amrutha Ghalige’ was present. Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana received the first copy of the book.
