Abhishek gives sound advice to Sonam:Cinejwala:

‘Players’ is Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor’s second film together. They were first paired in Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehra’s ‘Delhi 6’. Abhishek has been quite protective of Sonam and considers her as one of his closest friends. While working together in ‘Players’ Abhishek was game to advice Sonam to carry forward her career without getting distracted.

Abhishek who has survived the fierce competition despite of a struggled period advised Sonam to be blunter and head strong. Talking about Abhishek’s caring
nature Sonam says, “He thinks I am a little bit too naive for this industry and he said - 'You need to become smarter, Sonam. This industry will spare nobody. You have to be smart and not say or do whatever you feel like.” Sonam revealed that she can’t hide her regression or disappointment, “Generally, whenever somebody hurts me, you can see it on my face. I cannot hide anything. So Abhishek keeps telling me to be smart” says Sonam.
