Priyadarshan keen on ‘Malamaal 2’:Cinejwala:

Film maker, Priyadarshan along with Percept Pictures is all set to make a sequel to their hit flick, ‘Malamaal Weekly’. The Film maker was keen from a very long period to do the sequel. Priyadarshan has made some changes in the cast. Riteish Deshmukh will not be the part of the sequel and two new faces have been signed on – Shreyas Talpade and Nana Patekar. However Paresh Rawal and Om Puri will be part of this sequel, as they played most important roles in the earlier flick. Even the female lead of the film will change.

Malamaal Weekly was 2006 comedy flick. The storyline of the film was similar to Hollywood film, ‘Waking Ned Devine’. Though the movie was rated poorly by the film’s critics but it was favourite amongst the audience‘s choice. Priyadarshan is famous in Bollywood as well as Tollywood for his comedy flicks and sequels. His best comedy film till date is ‘Hera-Pheri’ which starred Akshay Kumar, Tabu, Paresh Rawal and Sunil Shetty. Hope the sequel to ‘MaalaMaal Weekly will be a liked by audiences and critics alike.
