Shahid shuns Vishal Bhardwaj :Cinejwala:

After superstar Ajay Devgan opted out of Vishal Bhardwaj’s next ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’, the director decided to cast his ‘Kaminey’ superstar Shahid Kapoor opposite Anushka Sharma. He was apparently very impressed with their chemistry in the film ‘Badmaash Company’ and hence wanted to cash in the sizzling chemistry. But as fate would have it, by the time Vishal approached Shahid it was too late as till then he had already signed a handful of new projects. He is currently busy with Kunal Kohli’s next with Priyanka Chopra and will soon start Siddharth Anand’s Hindi remake of ‘Knight and Day’ whereas he has been approached for the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ sequel and Yash Raj’s next. And hence with his dates already committed to the mentioned film, Shahid unwillingly had to refuse the offer. However there’s no bad blood between them as they have decided to work on ‘Kaminey 2’ in next year.
