Dr Vishnuvardhan, Anu Prabhakar bag Karantaka state awards :Cinejwala:

As expected late Dr Vishnuvardhana gets the best actor award posthomously for his chilling triple role in 'Aptha Rakshaka' the 200th film of the actor in the just announced Karnataka State Film Awards for 2009-2010.

Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda announced the awards today at Banquet Hall Vidhana Soudha at 6.30 pm,

Anu Prabhakar gets the best actress award for her performance in 'Pareekshe' Kannada cinema. This is her second award in the film career.

The first best film is Rasarushi Kuvempu, Second best film is Manasaare and third best is Love Guru. The best socially relevant film is Shabari of Prof Baraguru Ramachandrappa.

Two best children film awards goes to 'Kinnara Baale and Gurukula'. Best child ators are Master Chiranjeevi for Eka Meva and Kumari Madhusri.

The best actor award for the first time given posthomously at the Karnataka State Film Awards. Dr Vishnuvardhana name was announced for his performance in Aptha Rakshaka. The talented Anu Prabhakar gets the state best actress award for her role in 'Pareekshe' Kannada film.

The state awards were announced today evening by Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda who is also information minister of the state. Dr Rajakumar award  to veteran actor RN Sudarshan and prestigious SR Puttanna Kanagal award is bestowed on veteran director CV Shivashanker.

Lifetime Achievement award given in the name of Dr Vishnuvardhana goes to – Producer SD Ankalgi the maker of first cinemascope film that starred Dr Vishnuvardhana in it.

The first, second and third best film awards goes to - RASARISHI KUVEMPU of Rithvik Simha, MANASAARE of Yogaraj Bhat, LOVE GURU of director Prashanth Raj a debutant.
