The latest buzz doing rounds is that Mani Ratnam is all ready with his next. As we reported it would be a romantic entertainer starring newcomers.
The movie would have script by writer Jayamohan and Mani Ratnam has roped in cinematographer and fellow director Rajiv Menon to shoot it. Set among the fisherfolk of southern Tamilnadu, the movie will be Mani Ratnam’s latest venture after Raavan.
'The lead roles will be played by new faces. The film will have a panoramic vision and lots of aerial shots,' said a source. Menon has worked with Mani on Bombay (1995) and Guru (2007). Mani is keen to finish shooting the movie on a tight schedule by November, said sources.
'It is a big film and will require a lot of expertise since it will be shot in coastal areas and also in the sea,' said the source.
