There were rumours that after a blockbuster hit in Mankatha, director Venkat Prabhu will do Godha, a sequel to his bumper hit Chennai 28.

There were anxious calls to Venkat Prabhu as reports suggested that he may join hands with Suriya instead for a movie.

Denying the reports of the sequel, Venkat Prabhu said, 'Godha is not my next!! It's just a fan made design!! I am currently working on few scripts!! Have to wait nd c which one kick starts 1st,' he tweeted.
